Why Would I Need a Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist?
Typically, a dermatologist and dermatopathologist combine their expertise to provide patients with an accurate diagnosis of their skin issues and tailor their treatment options. While the dermatologist evaluates a patient’s physical symptoms, if needed, a dermatopathologist examines a skin sample taken from the patient to identify the microscopic characteristics of the condition.
When patients come to our clinic with a rash, lesion, or mole, we aim to get them on the right treatment path as soon as possible, and sometimes a biopsy can help. By doing so, we can save our patients time and money.
