Dr. Glazer Breaks Down Skin Cancers on ‘Mass Appeal’

What is Eczema?

Eczema is a common inflammatory skin condition that causes dry, itchy, and irritated skin. Atopic dermatitis is the most common form of eczema and is a chronic condition that causes recurring flare-ups, often affecting the face, hands, and creases of the elbows and knees. However, there are several other types, including:

  • Contact Dermatitis: Occurs when the skin comes into contact with an irritant or allergen, causing redness, itching, or inflammation.
  • Dyshidrotic Eczema: Causes small, intensely itchy blisters, typically on the hands, fingers, and feet.
  • Nummular Eczema: Characterized by round, coin-shaped patches of irritated skin that may itch, ooze, or become crusty.

Dr. Glazer of New England Dermatology and Laser Center joined ‘Mass Appeal” to discuss common types of skin cancers. He explained the importance of sun protection, early detection, and seeing a trusted provider. Watch the conversation here.
