Dr. Glazer Discusses Skin Cancer Prevention on ‘Mass Appeal’

What is Eczema?

Eczema is a common inflammatory skin condition that causes dry, itchy, and irritated skin. Atopic dermatitis is the most common form of eczema and is a chronic condition that causes recurring flare-ups, often affecting the face, hands, and creases of the elbows and knees. However, there are several other types, including:

  • Contact Dermatitis: Occurs when the skin comes into contact with an irritant or allergen, causing redness, itching, or inflammation.
  • Dyshidrotic Eczema: Causes small, intensely itchy blisters, typically on the hands, fingers, and feet.
  • Nummular Eczema: Characterized by round, coin-shaped patches of irritated skin that may itch, ooze, or become crusty.

This Melanoma and Skin Cancer Awareness month, Dr. Stanley Glazer joined ‘Mass Appeal” to discuss skin cancer prevention. Watch the conversation here.
